Account & Sign-In

Why do I need to create an account?

Gainmo needs an account to save your workout history, track your progress over time, and sync your data securely. You can sign in quickly with Google or Apple, or use an email address.

Subscription & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Gainmo subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not in the app. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, select Gainmo, and choose Cancel Subscription.

How do I restore my purchases?

If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices, go to Account → Subscription and tap Restore Purchases. This reconnects your existing subscription using your Apple ID.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your workout history and progress stay saved to your account. Canceling only affects access to Premium features: you'll return to the free plan's session limit, but nothing is deleted.

How does the free plan work?

New accounts start with a set number of free sessions. Once you've used them, you'll be prompted to subscribe to continue logging workouts. Subscribing removes the limit entirely.

Training & Progress

What does "To Beat" mean?

It's the target Gainmo wants you to beat this session, based on your last performance for that exact set. Beat it, and your next target goes up. That's how the app drives progressive overload automatically.

How are personal records (PRs) counted?

A set counts as a PR when you beat the target you were shown and actually improved on your prior result for that set: either with more weight, or the same weight for more reps. Repeating a previous number doesn't count as a new PR.

How does my training streak work?

Your streak counts consecutive weeks with at least one logged workout. A week that's still in progress won't break your streak; it only resets if a full week passes with no sessions logged.

How far back can I see my workout history?

Your recent workouts and progress charts cover your most recent sessions. Older sessions remain saved and can be viewed by scrolling further back in the Calendar tab.

Live Activity (Lock Screen)

Why can't I log a set from the lock screen?

The lock screen widget mirrors your active session in real time so you can check your progress at a glance, but logging happens in the app for speed and reliability. Tap the widget to jump straight back into your workout.

Presets

Is there a limit on how big a preset can be?

Presets can include up to 20 exercises, and preset and exercise names are capped at 40 characters.

Privacy

What data does Gainmo collect?

Just what's needed to run the app: your email, name, and your training data (exercises, weights, reps). Gainmo doesn't use tracking for advertising.

Device Support
